Description

Electrical Designer with an emphasis on power generation, instrumentation and controls and/or electrical power distribution. Desired experience includes low voltage and medium voltage power distribution, motor controls for both low voltage and medium voltage and interfacing industrial processes to DCS and/or PLC systems. Multi-discipline projects experience in hydro power generating facilities is desired. Power industry experience is desired, but not necessary.

Education/Experience/Certifications

  • Minimum of a HS Diploma, AS Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 4 yrs design experience & Experience with Utility or Industrial plant Electrical and controls design documents and drawings, such as: single-lines, control schematics, connection drawings, conduit and cable tray routing drawings, conduit and cable schedules, etc. is desired.
  • Preferred proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), MicroStation and AutoCAD proficiency is preferred.

  • Ability to understand and apply engineering design principles. Possesses good verbal and written communication skills. Possesses good interpersonal skills to build relationships and work effectively in a team environment.

  • Available to work overtime as necessary to meet schedules and commitments.
  • Must possess the ability to drive assigned projects to completion.

  • Responsible for back-checking own work to minimize rework.
  • Travel to client facilities for the purpose of gathering field information and participating in design review meetings/other may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Annual Salary Range:

$59,803 - $87,641

The expected compensation is a range determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, and qualifications of the candidate, internal equity, work location, and hiring department’s fiscal resources.
