Mesa is seeking an experienced (3 to 8 years) Design Engineer for the development of Autodesk Inventor 3D design standards in support of Power Utility - Substation Electrical Design.   This role will be heavily engaged in power energy substation related design in one of our nation’s fastest developing, most well-funded initiatives in the country.  This opportunity will take advantage of latest computer aided design tools to apply intelligence and automation into the increasingly sophisticated methods utilized in engineering design.  The long range forecast for skilled professionals in this industry is excellent, and opportunities abound.  This exciting Inventor Standards development opportunity is a leading edge, well-funded opportunity requiring creativity and affording the successful candidate great potential for advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy specialized Inventor based electrical standards
  • Collaborate with Standards Innovation and Design Teams to design and launch new Inventor standards, including documentation of deployment procedures, release plans, etc.
  • Travel to the Richmond, VA area for collaborative activities with other industry professionals at least one week per month

Required Qualifications

  • Expertise utilizing Autodesk Inventor
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET Accredited)
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication
  • Proven Customer Support acumen
  • Three (3) to eight (8) years of applicable experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing design standards
  • Experience developing Electrical (Physical) Design for Power Substations
  • Keen interest in learning and using the latest Autodesk software tools, methods, and technologies to develop Power Substation design
