Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the aggregation of the demand plan process with a region and business, producing a rolling 24-36 month estimate of unconstrained future demand in units and where possible in currency
  • Work closely with marketing on planning/executing the launch and ramp-up for new products as well planning/managing other product-life-cycle phases
  • Assist in the documentation of assumptions incorporated in the demand and supply plan and validate past assumptions
  • Track performance metrics and analysis to identify both opportunities and potential issues within S&OP processes and reporting as well as those across departments; provide insights and recommendations to help improve results
  • Work closely with supply planning and logistics to evaluate the demand/production plan against inventory, capacity and external factors and to create mitigation actions if needed
  • Facilitate prioritizing demand and/or allocating supply to a region when the demand exceeds supply
  • Coordinate and facilitate the monthly S&OP meetings for a region and business to achieve the demand plan consensus including strategic, product, sales, and marketing activities as well as supply plan balance and constraints/gaps
  • Facilitate closing gaps between the demand and supply plans and the annual financial plan and long-range plan (LRP). Suggest/prepare alternatives to resolve issues
  • Identify significant business risks and escalate to the appropriate leadership teams
  • Ensure efficient communication across functional teams for any trends, drivers and takeaways in a clear and concise manner
  • Assist in the development of new tools that will assist in measurement, reporting and visibility to issues
  • Must be able to work independently while still functioning well in a team
  • Able to communicate effectively with senior management, peers, and colleagues cross functionally and globally
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management
  • MA / MS degree with 3+ years of Supply Chain and/or Operations and/or Pharma Device Aesthetics space
  • BS / BA degree with 4+ years of Supply Chain and/or Operations and/or Pharma Device Aesthetics space

Experience/Qualification

  • 7 to 10+ years’ in a supply chain, operations, supply/demand planning environment; S&OP experience is preferred
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; SAC / SAP / Power BI / Anaplan experience is a strong preference
  • Expertise in pharmaceutical or biotech industries, US, EU, and international cGMP and DCSCA requirements preferred.
  • Professional certifications (e.g. CPIM/CSCP/CPF) and Membership in Professional Associations (e.g. APICS, ISM, IBF) preferred

Skills

  • Robust analytical and statistical skills to evaluate and interpret complex problems using multiple sources of information
  • Knowledge - understanding of econometric models, causal forecasting, and "what if" analysis •
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Highly skilled communicator with proven ability to simply and succinctly communicate complex analytical conclusions; influence or persuade others through oral and written presentations in positive or negative circumstances; listen well
  • Expertise and track record in pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing and supply chain execution and oversight, previous ERP implementation experience.
