School Health Certified Med Tech & CNA
Part time - 70 hours biweekly
M-F no weekends or holidays
Under the leadership and direction of an LPN and/or RN, provides health services to facilitate the student’s optimal physical, mental, emotional and social growth and development. Provides care to medically involved students. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining the school health clinic, following the individualized health care plans developed by the school RN, providing physical care for the students, maintaining a sanitary and safe environment, administer physician ordered medication and treatments, ordering supplies for your assigned health office, completing daily and monthly records, and attending student related meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education - High School Diploma or GED
Experience - One year experience working in a health care setting.
Licensure/Certification - Current certification in state of Maryland as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current Certified Medication Technician in the state of Maryland or proof of successful completion of the Board approved medication technician training program and submission of the medication technician application for certification to the Maryland Board of Nursing required. Medication Technician certification must appear on Board website within 90 days, or the individual must cease practice. Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy and First Aid required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Ability to exercise professional judgment in making decisions. Ability to appropriately and effectively communicate with students, parents, administrators and other school personnel.
