Registered Nurse - Clinical Navigator

John R Marsh Cancer Center

Full Time, Dayshift

Serves as a single point of contact to manage the care of identified patients with cancer in conjunction with the patient's multidisciplinary care team.  In this role, the Clinical Navigator will coordinate care according to the clinical guidelines that have been established for the program, with the objective of coordinating high quality care across the care delivery sites. The Clinical Navigator will provide assistance with accessing clinical and supportive care services offered within the Meritus Health System and in the community.

Education – BSN in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.  

Experience – 2 years of clinical experience in cancer site or oncology experience.   

Licensure/Certification – Licensed RN in Maryland and current BLS/CPR certification in compliance with policy required. OCN - Oncology Certified Nurse preferred and required within two years.  

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Clinical knowledge of the care of oncology patients, strong assessment and organizational skills, ability to encourage others, and communicate effectively.
