Description
The Manager of Physician Practices is responsible for the successful implementation, ongoing management and overall success of the physician practice in conjunction with the Health-system standards, protocols, guidelines, policies and procedures for practice operation. This includes responsibility for operations, personnel, budget, reimbursement, quality management, and marketing and sales. As a result of direct leadership, the physician practices have a reputation for high-quality care, exceptional patient and family experiences, on-time service delivery, and cost-effective care management.
Education – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Experience – Previous healthcare experience in practice operation setting, including background in personnel, finance, sales, marketing, and reimbursement required.
Licensure/Certification – Must be licensed in the State of Maryland as required for the field for which degree is held.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – High degree of management confidence, including supervisory, leadership, and motivational skills. High degree of organizational and analytical skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Effective problem solving and negotiation skills. Basic knowledge of healthcare, reimbursement issues. Basic financial/P&L knowledge. Basic knowledge of sales and marketing skills.
