Description

Maintains inventory of supplies and materials in central stores; receives information for, types, and processes purchase orders and requisitions for needed supplies, materials, and equipment; reviews and analyzes material and supply usage and orders/reorders supplies to ensure availability; interacts with vendors and sales personnel to obtain pricing; responds to complaints and initiates correspondence and telephone contacts with vendors and supplies to resolve problems; ensures contract compliance; obtains required information on purchases (i.e. latex, MSDS, etc.). Provides instruction to and assists materials staff in methods and procedures of checking, verifying, and inspecting materials and supplies received; substitutes for other positions in the department as needed.     Exhibits behaviors reflective of Memorial’s core values: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Service. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance. Attends all mandatory education and in-services (i.e., team training, safety, infection control, etc.); completes mandatory health requirements. Employee performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital’s and department’s Ethics and Compliance program and is responsible to detect, observe and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, or upward through the chain of command, the Compliance Officer, or the hospital hotline.

Requirements
Completion of high school education; two (2) years related experience; thorough knowledge of hospital supply terminology. Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
