Description
We are seeking a dedicated Data Analyst to work with metrics associated with measuring the outcome of student learning objectives to drive continuous improvement in curriculum design & development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analyzing data, validation metrics, and quality assurance. Familiarity with ISO standards and prior experience with the Department of Energy is highly preferred. The Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our operations align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Applies a wide range of quantitative and qualitative principles and methods, as well as descriptive analytics to analyze, document, and as needed, present historical trends and program information.
- Analyzes data patterns; identifies anomalies; and brings them to the attention of the Program lead.
- Collects data and using standard statistical techniques, prepares summaries and/or findings which document trends and/or data relationships.
- Establishes and maintains a standardized method for the collection and storage of data records.
- Uses Structured Query Language (SQL) and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming in addition to Microsoft Access, Excel, Google Sheets, and/or other analytic tools to retrieve data.
- Uses data visualization tools to design and present information that is visually consistent.
- Evaluates business systems and processes to capture and document findings used to improve data accuracy and business system effectiveness.
- Extracts, reviews, and validates standard data to support and make recommendations for improvements for performance measures that impact the NSTP Program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong familiarity with ISO standards.
Strong understanding of quality assurance processes.
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Possess or ability to obtain a security clearance.
The ability to obtain Specialized Compartmentalized Information (SCI) access authorization.
The candidate’s written consent to conduct a background check for the purposes of obtaining a security clearance may be required as a condition of employment.
Certain positions requiring a security clearance may require the periodic successful completion of a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience with the Department of Energy is highly preferred.
Proven track record in assessing training programs and implementing validation metrics.
LOCATION: This is a full-time onsite position in Albuquerque, NM.
SALARY: Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
