WHAT WE DO: Meduit is seeking Medical Customer Service Representatives at our Gaithersburg, MD office. If you are goal driven, hard-working, and have excellent communication or customer service skills, we invite you to apply with us today! Our Customer Service Representatives priority is to address and answer questions the patient may have over their visit. This could include conversations regarding insurance billing, general questions. and financial obligations. Our agents will assist in these conversations and provide top level customer service as we address questions and offer resolution options on their account. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Providing exceptional and confident customer service to all in a high-volume call center environment.
- Making and receiving calls to patients regarding their account while working towards a common resolution
- Meeting or exceeding established metric goals
- Referencing patient health information from the client system to address patient questions as well as updating and notating said system(s)
- Following established policies and procedures to resolve patient accounts.
- Demonstrate an ability to use empathy, compassion, problem solving skills, negotiation, and de-escalation.
- Understanding and fully complying with all federal and state laws and regulations (HIPPA, Medicare Fraud, Waste and Abuse, etc.) regarding collections policies and procedures
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- H.S. Diploma/GED
- Minimum 1 year experience in call-center environment
- Must be willing to submit for a background check.
- Characterize high integrity.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to work successfully in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, Medicaid, Medicare, Insurance and FDCPA.
- Experience with medical billing/claims processing.
- Proficient in PC-based applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Time management and sound decision-making skills.
- Have a positive attitude and demonstrate teamwork.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Provide excellent customer service in a variety of situations, including those that escalate.
- Able to use strong attention to detail and data management skills.

SCHEDULE:
Full-time (8-hour shift)
Monday – Friday
PAY: Starting at $18.00 - $19.00 hourly
