Heat Treat Operator

SKILLED TRADE TRAINING

1st Shift, 6:30AM – 3PM (Monday - Friday)

Ability to work overtime and Saturdays

A Heat Treat Operator is responsible for controlling heat treating furnaces to alter the properties of selected materials. You will operate the furnaces, draw ovens, pit draws, and any other related equipment. You will also perform hardness checks according to work instructions. The parts are quenched in oil/gas within the furnace and then removed after a prescribed time. 

Education/Skills Required:

• High School education or equivalent preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally
• Basic math and strong mechanical aptitudes
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to be fork truck certified
• “Confined Space” training will be required
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
