MB BIM Solutions is a team of engineers located in the Denver Tech Center, and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of G.H. Phipps Construction Companies.  We use our design, software, and construction coordination backgrounds to offer BIM consulting services to GH Phipps, other general contractors, and specialty subcontractors.  Our main service offerings include fabrication modeling and shop drawings for various building systems (such as precast concrete, rebar, cast in place concrete, and MEP systems), 3D coordination and clash detection, construction sequencing and schedule simulations, construction visualization, reality capture, and structural engineering consulting.  We work on high-profile large commercial construction projects throughout the Rocky Mountain region.  Our service offerings continue to expand as we grow to include leading BIM/VDC technologies and project delivery methods.  We are a small, dynamic firm that drives and adapts to advances in BIM technology, workflows, and practices.  Our success is a direct result of having a team that is innovative, software-driven, and forward-thinking.  With our small company atmosphere and culture of innovation, each team member’s ideas and contributions are highly valued.

We are seeking candidates who are independent, self-motivated, creative, and quick to learn new software and applications.  We are interested in candidates with a background in structural engineering, architecture, mechanical engineering or design, or construction that have a strong expertise in BIM software. 

  • Essential Job Functions
    • Develop accurate pricing and execution strategies that will lead to successful project delivery for new project proposals
    • Track project budgets, takes corrective action on scopes and client expectations, and take responsibility to keep projects within budget
    • Develop, maintain, communicate, and uphold project and deliverable schedules for BIM/VDC services
    • Use BIM and VDC processes to assist various departments within general contractors and trade subcontractors, such as marketing, preconstruction, operation, layout, and QA/QC
    • Coordinate drawings and models from various trades and disciplines and use BIM to identify, coordinate, and resolve construction conflicts
    • Understand construction operations and techniques (means and methods) used in the field
    • Use BIM to help general contractors to solve project-specific constructability issues
    • Participate in and manage the development of presentations, including the creation of animations and images for proposals and marketing materials as they relate to new project pursuits
    • Delegate tasks to other team members and manage the execution and quality of those tasks
    • Mentor and train direct reports through clear assignments and communication, setting of expectations, feedback and accountability, and constructable coaching
    • Perform quality control checks on project deliverables in a timely manner
    • Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with project work
    • Act as the point of contact and communicate effectively with other project participants
    • Identify and pursue new project opportunities, additional services, and value propositions when working with clients and project teams
    • Work closely with clients to identify and clarify the important factors that are key to successful project outcomes
    • Actively develop and maintain positive relationships with past and present clients
    • Communicate effectively with team members with a positive and solution-oriented manner
    • Contribute to the implementation of new BIM processes and services for general contractors and trade contractors
    • Help train construction team members in the use of BIM/VDC
    • Take initiative to identify and assist with miscellaneous department duties and team initiatives
    • Participate in business and industry associations and opportunities to drive public awareness of our brand
    • Travel to jobsites, meetings and client locations as needed in support of employees, clients, project team, etc.

    • Attention to detail
    • Advance knowledge of and experience in Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM software
    • Strong software and general computer knowledge, and an ability to quickly learn new software
    • Ability to adapt to evolving BIM software, technology, processes, and services
    • Uses safety equipment as prescribed by company to ensure safety on jobsite
    • As a safety sensitive position, complete adherence to alcohol and drug use policies set by company
    • In-person, predictable attendance at assigned location
  • Experience & Education Requirements
    • Bachelor’s Degree or extensive experience in engineering, construction management or related field
    • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in the AEC industry

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Verifiable work references demonstrating exceptional accomplishments, leadership, and communication skills 
  • Successful completion of post-offer background & drug screens

The salary range for this position is $ 82,000 – 95,000 annually and is dependent in experience and title/rank of position offered.
