** Starting at $35-$40/hour DOE + Bonus Opportunities**

As a Truck Mechanic for Maverik you will repair, recondition, and maintain equipment. Other responsibilities include, diagnose, troubleshoot, test, measure and adjust equipment systems and components. Communicate effectively with the Shop Manager, Transportation Director, Team Leads and Drivers to ensure problems, nature of repair, and status of repairs are understood and followed up on. Follow all safe work practices and company requirements and keep up to date with developments in tooling, technologies and systems

**Schedule for this role is 3pm-midnight with some flexibility working Tuesday to Saturday**

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and complete service reports and turns them in on a timely basis
  • Prepare inspection and appraisal reports
  • Correctly charge work to appropriate work orders
  • Communicate effectively with Shop Manager, Transportation Director, Team Leads, and Drivers to ensure problems, nature of repair, and status of repairs are understood and followed up on
  • Clean, repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components
  • Prepare, inspect, and operate machines prior to delivery
  • Remove, disassemble, assemble, and install components and parts
  • Determine reusability of parts in accordance with published warranty guidelines
  • Service and maintain equipment sold and/or owned by the company
  • Test, measure, and adjust equipment systems and components
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and failures
  • Analyze customer repairs and maintenance requirements
  • Keep up to date with developments in tooling, technologies and systems
  • Follow safe working practices and all company safety requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Make recommendations as to repairs meeting warranty criteria
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to perform the following physical behaviors repetitively throughout a shift: standing, walking, handling, reaching horizontally and grasping firmly
  • Must be able to perform the following physical behaviors frequently throughout a shift: reaching above the shoulder, reaching below the waist, pushing buttons, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs
  • Work safely with equipment and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception

Qualification: Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a Mechanic, or assistant manager in heavy equipment, engine, or preventive maintenance repair preferred
  • Tanker experience and CDL required
  • Safety knowledge
  • Reading / writing skills with basic truck and tanker trailer product knowledge
  • Computer Skills; basic ability to search for and enter data into a computer. Ability to type service reports and communicate effectively via email
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English
