The State & Local Tax Manager will be responsible for state and local tax matters with a focus on state income, sales and use tax reporting and compliance matters for all US business units. Develop and assist with the implementation of planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities. The State and local tax manager will be responsible for performing tax research and analysis on a wide array of state and local tax subjects.

Highlights of your role

• Responsible for managing income and indirect tax nexus.
• Manage apportionment and revenue sourcing for income, business activity and indirect taxes.
• Review and manage sales taxability matrices and analysis for indirect taxes.
• Research state credits and incentives for job creation and qualifying investments.
• Focus on the development of SALT projects, planning and implementation.
• Review sales and use tax returns.
• M&A SALT due diligence for pending transactions.
• SALT controversies involving audits and administrative appeals.

You're a good fit if you have

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Manufacturing and retail distribution experience required.
• Finance or other related field’s deg required, master’s or advanced degree preferred.
• CPA and/or JD preferred.
• Broad SALT experience, including income/franchise tax, personal income tax, and sales/use tax.
• 4+ years of tax experience working in a public accounting or law firm.
