Job Description
This position will support key aspects of the Machining operation delivering high performance within a manufacturing cell(s) through key deliverables such as Safety performance, exceeding quality standards, and meeting production targets. Cross-training and flexibility within a cell are important attributes of the technician role.
Highlights of your role
- Reduce Costs, Improve Processes, and Grow Profitability.
- Lead or assist with all change-overs within the cell
- Ensure cutting tools, tool holders and gauges are set up correctly and properly used.
- Leverage technical abilities to perform at high standards with:
- All Safety rules and best practices
- Part quality as measured through visual checks and DataMyte/Keyence
- Change over time reduction and equipment uptime
- Run speeds and product flow
- Self-driven and highly motivated
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment and train operators to do the same.
- Willing and able to run moulders and/or double end equipment as necessary.
You are a good fit if you have
- Knowledge of multiple machining and production processes.
- The ability to multi-task and adjust priorities as appropriate.
- Enthusiasm to work effectively in a team situation as well as independently.
- Excellent safety track record, able to follow and train to proper safety procedures.
- Exemplary quality track record, consistently passing over 96% of quality audits and train operators to do the same.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed productivity standards and run speed targets.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding change over set up time standards.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols for all equipment.
- Two years’ experience as an Operator III or equivalent role (preferred)
- Material processes and ICIM knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of material quality requirements, processes, and procedures.
Schedule:
3:30pm - 1:30am Monday - Thursday, and any required overtime
