Highlights of your role

  • Develop and lead internal communications campaigns for enterprise and HR initiatives and policies, including large-scale company announcements, location-specific changes, etc.
  • Use various traditional and digital channels to deliver written and visual communications (i.e., presentations, articles, posts, talking points, videos, infographics, podcasts, newsletters, etc.)
  • Demonstrate thought leadership on the timing and cascading of key communications
  • Collaborate with Internal Communications team colleagues to plan, develop and implement engaging content within Marvin’s company-wide digital communications tool
  • Work independently and in partnership with stakeholders and the Creative Studio team to develop clear and compelling messaging to drive awareness, excitement and advocacy with various internal audiences
  • Lead and support event planning projects for the enterprise including such large-scale enterprise-wide events as the annual meeting, ensuring that Marvin culture, values and purpose are abundantly evident to participants, both in terms of the messaging and the environment
  • Lead internal communications partnership with the Warroad Operations team as well as with other Marvin locations, providing strategic counsel, best practices, and message development support
  • Proactively engage with members of leadership and teams throughout the organization to understand specific communications and culture challenges; partner to develop and implement strategic solutions that improve the employee experience and help increase retention
  • Work in close collaboration with colleagues in Human Resources and plant operations teams to ensure effective strategic planning and delivery of communications and culture projects

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Comfortable developing and leading strategies, new ideas and communication solutions for a wide variety of audiences and situations
  • Ability to turn complex, sophisticated business messages into communications that are appropriate for different audiences and business lines (e.g., senior leaders, managers, all employees)
  • Well-developed and dynamic writing skills, demonstrating an excellent command of language and the ability to creatively compose clear and engaging communications
  • Proven experience in sourcing and producing content for a wide variety of print, digital, and video platforms
  • Strong ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization including executive leadership
  • Experience in event management and communications
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Superior organizational and prioritization skills, with a high comfort level in juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Refined interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong project management and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to contribute as part of a trusted Communications and Culture team, passionate about building a “great place to work” and continuously upholding Marvin's purpose and values

Education / Experience

  • 5+ years work experience developing enterprise-wide communication initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree required in related field 
  • Experience working across multiple innovative channels and platforms, including social media, video and digital
