Job Description

The Operations Manager will be responsible for all Distribution Center operations on the 2nd shift including the following functions: Receiving, Production-Picking, and Shipping.  This person ensures the working conditions are safe for all employees, while maintaining the highest of quality for outbound shipments, and driving throughput results.  Also, managing, coaching and developing a staff consisting of two assistant manager, supervisors plus supporting staff for each function.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop high performing teams to ensure the achievement of the 2nd shift team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Receiving

  • Ensure all receipts are properly put-away within established service guidelines

Replenishment

  • Ensure all replenishment tasks are completed daily and all cartons pulled are located to active

Picking

  • Ensuring all orders are accurately picked in compliance with customer requirements as stated in Vendor Compliance Guides, and meeting SLA’s / print – ship windows.
  • Maintaining the highest level of productivity and throughput
  • Inventory accuracy for all locations is 95% or better and
  • On time shipment of all orders retail and e-com of 98.5% or better

Shipping

  • Ensuring all freight is prepared as scheduled per the normal print – ship time frames.
  • Ensure freight is safely loaded and accurately

Other

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and secure facility using QA guidelines
  • Ensure communicating and reporting to 1st shift is transparent and clear
  • Working closely with engineering team and Sr Ops Mgr. on driving productivity improvement plans / continuous monitoring of work standards and creation of new standards as needed
  • Maintain cross training record of all personnel in all functions
  • Work with HR and support team on on-boarding and training of new hires
  • Follow all CDC SOPs and assist on creation of new ones as necessary
  • Ensure KPIs are reviewed and action plans are developed put in place
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

  • Reports to Director of Operations

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a related role in a Distribution Center
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS, preferably with Manhattan Associates).
  • Effective communication skills both oral and written required. Must be able to always maintain a positive and professional attitude.
  • Ability to coach and develop management staff and to deal with difficult conversations.
  • Understanding and driving a culture of continuous improvement using metrics and visual management.
  • Work requires significant attention to detail in safety, recording, logging, and inspecting.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to use a variety of computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and internet.

While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, LVMH Inc. reserves the right to pay outside of the published salary range of $110,000.00 - $130,000.00.
