As a Rehabilitation Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing rehabilitation, promoting their recovery and maximizing their functional independence.
You Will:
Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments to develop individualized care plans. Administer medications, treatments, and rehabilitative interventions as prescribed by physicians. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans accordingly.
Collaborative Care: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Collaborate in developing and implementing patient rehabilitation goals.
Patient and Family Education: Provide education to patients and their families about their conditions, rehabilitation procedures, medications, and home care techniques. Offer emotional support and counseling to assist patients in coping with their health challenges.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes. Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Adherence to Protocols: Adhere to established protocols, procedures, and safety standards. Monitor and promote infection control measures within the rehabilitation unit.
Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and insights for enhancing patient care, safety, and outcomes within the rehabilitation department.
You Have:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Florida.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Prior experience in rehabilitation nursing or a related field is highly desirable.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
