They are looking to add a Senior Electrical Engineer to their design team.

Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer position designs electrical systems for residential and commercial buildings.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or equivalent 5 years of experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is desirable but not required
  • Licensed to drive in CA
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Design Master, Energy Pro, Powertools SKM

You Will:

  • Engineer from the conceptual design phase through construction.
  • Attend meetings with clients and take diligent notes.
  • Attending job site walks to observe existing conditions and construction progress.
  • Basis of design writing and specification writing.
  • Working knowledge of the following codes & standards: California Electrical Code, California Building Code, California Energy Code, Californian Green Building Code, SDG&E and Utility Standards, NFPA 101 & 110, ADA Standards for Accessible Design- Code of Regulations (ADA) and Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA).
  • Ability to read construction documents and design electrical power systems including the following:
    • Switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, transformers, feeder sizing, panel schedules, branch circuiting, and grounding.
  • Ability to design lighting systems including the following:
    • Photometrics, light fixture specifications, lighting controls
    • Title 24 calculations
  • Ability to perform Electrical Engineering Calculations including voltage drop, fault current, and arc flash.
  • Provide responses to Requests for Information (RFI’s) and submittal reviews.
  • Performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives. Work is reviewed for the application of sound professional judgment.
  • Ability to climb ladders and survey construction sites.
  • And all other tasks assigned.
