We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our clients dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of projects, including large-scale infrastructure, ground, underground, rail, and transit projects throughout the New York Area.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Mechanical Engineer overseeing all aspects of mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection design.
  • Coordinate scope of work reviews between engineering teams.
  • Design various mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Perform shop drawing reviews, contractor relations, and site surveys.
  • Monitor and manage project costs against the budget, reporting progress as required.
  • Develop reports and design documents, including floor plans, schematic diagrams, load calculations, controls, details, and specifications.
  • Lead project coordination meetings with various stakeholders.
  • Participate in project requirement meetings, value analysis, and basic cost estimating.
  • Manage the full project cycle from planning through construction close-out.
  • Develop and manage project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
  • Lead the preparation and coordination of project specifications with construction documents.
  • Conduct quality assurance and control on own projects and those of peers.
  • Assist in the development of new standards and specifications for the electrical group.
  • Contribute to the professional growth of others.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering and design.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Practical field experience (survey, start-up, commissioning, maintenance).
