Mechanical Engineer (mid-level) - Miami, FL (Hybrid)

Your role:

  • Performing complex mechanical building design on a variety of projects to include, but not limited to, buildings and facilities, including hospitals, laboratories, high rise residential and high-rise office, and other commercial and institutional projects.
  •  Incorporating design changes using AutoCAD and/or Revit software
  • Assist teams in performing design load calculations, equipment selections and mechanical system design
  • Providing credit documentation for LEED, and other building rating system design and compliance
  • Assisting in the preparation of basis-of-design descriptions, responses to client comments and other project-related documentation.
  • Attend meetings with architects, owners and building managers.
  • Reviewing submittals and providing responses to Requests for Information
  • Performing other duties as assigned

What kind of candidate are we looking for?

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in HVAC system design for commercial, institutional, and healthcare facilities

Qualifications:

  • Proficient with the use of Trace 700, AutoCAD and Revit software.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Excellent technical skills, strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standards
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment
  • PE registration is highly preferred in Florida, or EIT with the ability to obtain a P.E. in 1-2 years.
  • LEED AP BD+C accreditation is preferred
