Position Overview
We are seeking a Director of Survey to lead and manage land surveying operations in the Tampa/Orlando region. This role involves overseeing survey staff, ensuring high-quality project execution, and fostering relationships with both public and private clients. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with technical expertise, business development skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional land surveying services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the land surveying team, providing mentorship, resource allocation, and technical guidance.
• Oversee project execution to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
• Promote a culture of safety and excellence within the survey department.
• Develop and manage project proposals, contracts, and schedules to ensure profitability and successful delivery.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients to identify new business opportunities and expand service offerings.
• Contribute to strategic planning for the surveying division’s growth and development.
• Ensure operational efficiency and financial success of the Tampa/Orlando surveying group.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the State of Florida.
• Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Geomatics (preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in land surveying, including both field and office work.
• 3+ years of project management experience in a related field.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and grow a high-performing team.
• Experience managing multiple projects and client relationships.
• Ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary engineering firm and meet diverse client deliverables.
• Technical expertise to guide and support survey teams through project execution.
