Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Land Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate measurements, mapping, and boundary determinations for various land development projects. The Land Surveyor will utilize advanced surveying instruments and technology to collect and analyze spatial data, producing detailed maps and reports. This role requires a strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams.

You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license is required. (SC preferred)
- Proven experience in land surveying, with a strong emphasis on boundary determination and topographic mapping.
- Proficiency in using surveying instruments, GPS technology, and surveying software.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and surveying standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct precise field surveys using the latest surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS, and laser levels.
- Establish and maintain control points to ensure accuracy in measurements.
- Verify and record survey data, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Analyze legal documents, such as deeds and titles, to determine property boundaries.
- Perform boundary surveys to establish and retrace property lines accurately.
- Resolve boundary disputes and provide expert testimony if required.
- Create detailed topographic maps to aid in the planning and development of projects.
- Identify natural and man-made features on the land, including elevations, contours, and structures.
- Process and analyze survey data using specialized software.
- Generate accurate and comprehensive survey reports, maps, and drawings for clients and project teams.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure survey data meets project requirements.
- Stay current with local, state, and federal regulations related to land surveying.
- Ensure that all surveys adhere to legal and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements and expectations.
- Provide updates and address client concerns throughout the surveying process.
