You Have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
- State licensure as a Landscape Architect.
- Proven experience in landscape design and project management.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of plant materials, construction techniques, and landscape architecture principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You Will:
- Conduct thorough site analysis to understand topography, climate, soil conditions, and other relevant factors.
- Assess existing structures, vegetation, and environmental impact to inform design decisions.
- Develop innovative and functional landscape designs based on client requirements, project goals, and environmental considerations.
- Create detailed conceptual sketches, mood boards, and 3D models to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Collaborate with project teams, architects, engineers, and clients to integrate landscape design into overall project plans.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Select appropriate plant species based on site conditions, aesthetic goals, and maintenance requirements.
- Integrate sustainable and native plantings to enhance biodiversity and ecological balance.
- Design and specify materials for hardscape elements such as pathways, patios, walls, and other built features.
- Ensure accessibility and compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Provide construction oversight to ensure that the implementation aligns with design intent.
- Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to address any challenges during the construction phase.
- Integrate sustainable design principles, including water conservation, energy efficiency, and the use of environmentally friendly materials.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in sustainable landscape architecture.
- Effectively communicate design concepts and recommendations to clients.
- Incorporate client feedback into design iterations and final plans.
