The ideal candidate will have 20+ years of successful engineering experience with progressive responsibility and a proven record of managing an MEP consulting engineering group. We are looking for a strong technical leader with project management experience including staffing, scheduling, contract control, fee estimates, and cost control. The capability to oversee development of building systems design and coordinate with other building design disciplines is important. The company is looking for the right person to manage our well-qualified team, interact with internal and external clients, and work as one with the rest of the management team at Epstein.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Oversee the successful design and management of MEP scope on all projects.
- Provide leadership to all personnel within the MEP department.
- Responsible for hiring, accession and termination of all staff. Fosters the professional development of staff for advancement within the firm.
- Responsible for overall profitability and strategy for the MEP department.
- Monitor project staffing, costs and schedule.
- Liaison between the MEP department and all other disciplines within the organization.
- Responsible for establishing MEP scope and fees for all projects.
- Client advocacy and support of internal marketing and business development efforts.
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Registered Professional Engineer
- Expertise in building engineering systems and related design principles
- Awareness of other disciplines and the interrelationship of the various elements of design
- Strong analytical skills; knowledge of analysis methods
- Strong interpersonal, communication, management, and supervisory skills
- Considerable experience in dealing with clients, contractors, and vendors
- LEED Accreditation preferred
- Experience with REVIT and AutoCAD
