We’ve partnered with a collaborative firm in Charlotte, NC that is looking to add to their Engineering Department. This firm is dedicated to creating environments that enhance the lives of people and their communities. Over the last 30 years, they have provided clients with architectural design, civil engineering, and structural engineering services in the southeast and across the country.
Job Summary:
As a Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and analyzing industrial structures to ensure they meet safety, durability, and functionality standards. You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree (BSCE) or equivalent from an accredited college or university
- 7+ years of Industrial building design experience.
- PE licensure in North Carolina (S.E., license preferred.)
- Proficiency in structural analysis software
- Strong knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
You Will:
- Deliver quality design service in a timely fashion.
- Effective communication and decision-making.
- Plan and prepare preliminary layouts and detailed design calculations from engineering notes, sketches, and/or architectural drawings. Work independently under the guidance of a supervisor.
- Coordinate structural design with other discipline members on the project team.
- Work collaboratively with other structural design team members to produce contract documents and specifications.
- Conduct quality assurance of completed work product.
- Attend meetings with clients and design partners during all phases of the work.
- Address and resolve construction issues generated by the Contractor. Review contractor submittals.
- Track billable hours.
