Project Architect
GFF is seeking a Project Leader to join our growing Dallas office who desires to participate in crafting an environment with other architects who value creating memorable spaces emphasizing innovative design and sustainability. This role includes an ability to collaborate, identify, and mentor the design talents of our younger staff.
- 8-10+ years experience
- Degree from an accredited university (B.Arch or M.Arch preferred)
- Registration required
- Working knowledge of typical commercial building types (multi-family and high-rise experience preferred), materials, systems and technical detailing, experience in all design/construction phases
- Experience in collaboration with and coordination of consultant engineering work required (civil, structural, MEP)
- Experience with tower, office, and multi-family projects required
- Working knowledge of specification writing and editing required
- AutoCAD, Sketch-Up and Revit proficiency required
- BIM 360 proficiency preferred
- Ability to manage, collaborate with, and mentor less senior staff
- Participates in client contact, business development, proposal development, consultant coordination and contract negotiations
- Responsible for meeting design intent, contractual obligations, project schedules and budgets across all design/construction phases
- Excellent organizational and time management skills for multiple project assignments and considerable autonomy
- Excellent graphic, written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of standard business software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) required
