We are currently recruiting for a Nurse to work in our Middleburg Heights location.

Summary:
The Nurse is responsible for providing services of the Medical Department and Medication Assisted Treatment Program. This position directly provides nursing services to ensure that effective patient care is provided and quality standards are met. This position works closely with the physician(s), physician extender(s), nurse(s) and addiction counselor(s) regarding the care and treatment of clients receiving medication. Primary location is the Middleburg Heights.
Essential Functions:
Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Performs various nursing functions and administers medications within the scope of practice of an RN at a variety of clinic and community based settings. Promotes patients’ independence by establishing patient individualized medical plan of care and teaches patients and families to understand conditions, medications and self-care skills. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of nursing tasks, including but not limited to: Medication education, administration and monitoring; administration of health assessments, including vital statistics; administration of urine drug screenings; administration of Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale (COWS) assessments; responding to routine and emergency requests for medical assistance; educate clients and staff about wellness and self-care. Coordination of medical and nursing activities with clinical and residential staff to ensure continuity of client care. Develop and/or assist with developing Treatment Plans especially with coexisting medical problems.
Ensuring that clients receive all appropriate services. Coordinating services provided by ancillary agencies. Coordinating and participating in treatment planning and reviews with entire treatment team. Consulting with each client concerning attainment of treatment plan goals and objectives. Development of the discharge plan in coordination with other treatment team members. Along with primary therapist, assure implementation of behavioral management strategies.
Completion of clinical reviews and clinical staffing, discharge planning and completion of daily progress notes. Engaging the family of each client in the family treatment program. Delivery of program components as assigned. Completion of all CQI data collection and implementation of all CQI corrective actions as assigned. Monthly participation in the Utilization Review and Peer Review programs. Other duties as assigned.
General Requirements:
Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the field of Addiction Medicine. Candidate must have a strong clinical background and experience with Electronic Medical Record systems. Knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) protocols preferred. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good computer skills required. Must have the ability to effectively work with agency employees, outside contacts, and a diverse client population.
Educational Requirements:
Associates Degree or equivalent certification required. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
Certification Requirements:
Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse with the Ohio Board of Nursing and possess a valid RN, BSN, MSN or equivalent. BLS certification required.
Amount of Travel: Minimal, mostly confined to local travel. Travel to various clinical and residential housing facilities may be required. The LCADA Way provides mileage reimbursement for work related travel.
Hours:Full-time, 40 hours per week (1st shift schedule).
Salary Range: Salary commensurate with licensure and experience.
