LinQuest is seeking a SkillBridge Subcontracts Associate Intern to join our team
LinQuest has a nationally-recognized reputation for technical excellence. We provide world-class engineering and hands-on support to our DoD customers for critically important National Security space programs, systems, and vehicles, including spacecraft. Our people are working side-by-side with government engineers, project managers, and operators to solve tough challenges on the critical systems and equipment that keep America and her allies safe. You will be joining a team of professionals and providing your unique viewpoints and skills, with opportunities to gain valuable experience and exposure to government Subcontracting.
SkillBridge Internship Program Qualifications:
- Has served at least 180 days on active duty
- Is within 12 months of separation or retirement
- Will receive an honorable discharge
- Have taken any service TAPS/TGPS
- Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months
- Received Unit Commander written authorization and approval to participate in the DoD SkillBride program prior to the start of internship
Responsibilities:
- Supports various projects such as performing research, data gathering, as well as updating and maintaining databases, files and documents
- Actively participate in negotiations such as Nondisclosure Agreements and/or Teaming Agreements
- Supports the Subcontracts team by participating in a variety of activities and training
- Prepare and maintain subcontracts files in accordance with internal processes
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required
Required Skills and Experience:
- Contracts, Purchasing, or Subcontracts preferred but not required
- Proficiency with Microsoft office programs
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- The ability to obtain a security clearance is required
SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from LinQuest, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.
