Description
LinQuest is seeking an Operations Research Analyst for mission-level combat modeling to join our team at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO. An active Top Secret clearance is required.
Qualified candidates should be adept at effectively organizing and executing analytic studies within a team of analysts containing skills spanning a range of disciplines. Experience and familiarity with the space domain and mission-level models/tools like System Effectiveness Analysis Simulation (SEAS) or Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) is desired.
Responsibilities:
- Utilizing studies and analyses, specifically a strong background in mission-level modeling and simulation, the analyst will make recommendations regarding the military utility, feasibility, joint warfighter impacts of the concepts and capabilities under study
- Ability to coordinate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives
- The Analyst will work as part of a contractor team working alongside a broader team of government and contract staff
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in operations research or a theoretical science field (Master's preferred)
- 6+ years of experience
- Experience conducting modeling & simulation analyses
- Willingness to learn and employ campaign-leveland/or defense enterprise-levelmodels
- High motivation, creativity, and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data
- An activeTop Secret security clearance
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Master's degree in operations research or a theoretical science field
- Experience with more highly aggregated, campaign-level and/or defense enterprise-level analysis tools
- Experience in DoD space and joint force programs
- Experience with AFSIM, SEAS, STORM or other related models
- Experience with Java, MATLAB, R, SAS, JMP, and/or Python
- Experience with data transformations and data visualization
- Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and MySQL or other relational databases
- Experience with BI Tools
- Experience with Excel VBA
Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from approximately $130,000 to $175,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
