Job Description

Summary 
The Human Resources Coordinator will greet, engage all employees and candidates as they enter the HR office, assist with questions, requests and process payroll for the Limelight Hotels in Aspen and Snowmass. 
 
Essential Job Functions
•  Greet employees/applicants as they enter the office
•   Responsible for planning and execution of seasonal new employee onboarding
•   Become proficient in Kronos, MS Office, Smart Recruiters, etc. 
•   Enter all new hire paperwork in a timely manner to coincide with the closing of the pay period
•   Upload employee files for each new employee. Create name tags, ski pass cards and assign lockers timely
•   Maintain and update bulletin boards on a monthly/weekly basis
•   Responsible for monthly holiday decorating in the EDR
•   Monitor and distribute monthly birthday list
•   Data entry of all PAFs and separation reports
•   Contribute content for Employee Newsletter 
•   Sort and staple bi-weekly paychecks
•   Serve as liaison between department managers/supervisors and parent company payroll office
•   Process all payroll related paperwork 
•   Maintain appropriate par levels of office supplies
•   Assist in planning and execution social functions for managers and employees
•   Responsible for organizing Employee of the Season certificates, frames and gift cards
•   Create and post flyers for employees (re: social functions, general interest, benefits etc)
•   Responsible for answering phones, taking messages, verifying employment etc.
•   Ensure the highest degree of confidentiality in all personnel/payroll matters
•   Assist in planning and presenting New Employee Orientation
•   Field employee questions regarding benefits and insurance and direct them to the appropriate person for the correct answer
•   Responsible for timely filing of all employee paperwork
•   Provide additional support to various hotel departments, as requested and needed
•   Report to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as outlined in the hotel Non-uniformed grooming policy
•   Comply with all policies and procedures for the Aspen Skiing Company, The Limelight Hotels and the Human Resources Department
•    Display at all times a friendly, courteous and professional manner with internal and external guests
•    Complete tasks and projects delegated by supervisor and provide support to other operating departments as needed

Qualifications

•  College degree, preferably in Humans Resources or related field required 
•  High Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
•  Previous experience with Google applications (Drive, Sheets) preferred

Supervision Given and Received
Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Received: Works under general supervision of the Assistant Director of Human Resources. Receives continuing or individual assignments according to supervisor’s directions and may perform routine tasks. Expectations of the quality, quantity and deadlines are clearly set. Instructions, advice and assistance available as needed. Work is reviewed on demand or during scheduled check-ins. 

Work Environment and Physical Demands
•  Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements 
•  No adverse or hazardous conditions
•  Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
