Position Summary
Armada Power is searching for an early career analyst and scheduling professional that is comfortable with electric wholesale and Ancillary Service markets. The responsibility of this role is to manage Armada Power’s portfolio of electric water heaters as a demand response and grid services asset in the Day-Ahead and Real-time Ancillary Markets. The candidate will be working every day within our FleetCommander platform to optimize the daily scheduling and dispatch of our water heater fleet. The candidate will also be responsible for interfacing with market ISOs for asset registration and validation.
This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a startup type organization with career path options and growth. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Data & Asset Utilization.
The successful candidate will have:
- Understanding of wholesale power markets fundamentals, ISO protocols, Ancillary Services, and Capacity markets
- Familiarity with demand management technology like water heaters, HVAC, or BESS
- Ability to interpret market data trends and providing actionable insights
- Experience with scripting tools like Python, R, and SQL
- Proven history of developing and maintaining data models
- Ability to work cross-functionally with the Field Operations, Product Tech, Product Operations, and Accounting Teams

Responsibilities Include
- Actively managing asset enrollment and validation through deployment pipeline
- Planning and implementation of strategic bidding strategies to maximize asset’s P&L
- Set daily, weekly, and monthly bidding schedules
- Reporting on asset and portfolio P&L across organization to relevant stakeholders
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to maximize asset value
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and report on underperforming assets
- Perform ad hoc project analysis, as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience in business, finance, management, or related fields
- 2 - 5 years of experience in data analytics, financial modeling, and coding
- Experience using: Python, SQL, R, Tableau, Excel, and/or other data analysis tools
- Proven ability to communicate clearly to customers, organizations, and stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work on your own and with a team
