Who You Are: 

Responsible for managing the day to day leasing and property operations at a regional portfolio of Multi Family Communities including P&L management, leadership of a large team, resident relations, general leasing and renewal activities, maintenance and property improvement, budgeting, reporting, and interacting with corporate leadership and investors. 

The Difference You Will Make: 

  • Full P&L responsibility for a 4,000 unit multi family portfolio of properties to manage to various metrics including achievement of annual NOI.
  • Leads a team of Community Managers across 7 properties located in central Ohio, drives hiring, training, and general management of site teams, ensuring operating procedures are followed and a high quality of resident interaction is maintained. 
  • Analyzes and submits reporting on financial performance of a community, site appearance, property audits, and marketing or traffic related activities, adjusting operations to maximize results. 
  • Supports the resolution of resident related customer service issues, and supports the team in meeting with residents directly as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with all state and federal fair housing laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures. 
  • Works in conjunction with Facilities Leaders to implement and execute a preventative maintenance program to ensure physical appearance, equipment, and safety are maintained to standards.   
  • Reviews and partners with Community Managers and Marketing on promotions, rent increases, lease terms, concessions, and incentives. 
  • Partner in preparation of annual property operating budgets, monitors expenses, approves purchase orders, manages third party vendors and contracts, etc. 
  • Completes other projects as assigned

What You’ll Bring: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, or related discipline strongly preferred. 
  • 8+ years of progressive multi family property / portfolio management experience
  • Track record of leading and developing highly performing, engaged teams
  • Strong Financial acumen, including financial analysis and ability to manage operations to an annual budget
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills and ability to work well with both internal and cross functional team members, as well as senior leaders within a matrixed organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and thrives in a fast paced environment. 
  • Shows critical attention to detail, ability to analyze, meet deadlines and execute to business objectives. 
  • Ability to travel occasionally and respond to urgent issues which sometimes occur outside of normal business hours.
