Direct the planning and zoning efforts for the Village of Rockton, a growing northern Illinois community 20 minutes north of Rockford. We are a thriving community with retail and business uses, residential developments, a bustling Main St., multiple walking/biking trail connections, and recreational activities. You will be part of developing a new Comprehensive Plan for future development and there is existing highway frontage in the Village limits ready for retail and business additions.
 This is a full-time position working with developers and residents on zoning issues/permits, assisting the Village administrator with business recruitment, preparing packets of information for developers, overseeing Community Engagement, performing plan review for subdivision plans, and more. Pay range is $60,000 to $65,000 depending on qualifications to start with a generous municipal benefits package including health and retirement.
