 Your Role and Responsibilities…
 As our new Library Director, you will be the key driver of our library's mission. You'll be responsible for:
 ? Strategic Leadership: Administering and overseeing all library operations, including staffing, services, programming, and facility management. You will serve as the primary advocate for the library, building strong relationships with the city and community.
 ? Operational Management: Preparing and managing the library budget, working closely with the Board of Trustees, and representing the library at municipal and Monarch Library System meetings.
 ? Team Development: Empowering and mentoring our staff, defining performance expectations, and providing opportunities for professional growth.
 
 What We're Looking For…
 We're searching for a leader who is passionate about public service and innovation. The ideal candidate will have:
 ? A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution. An MLIS degree is highly desirable, but not required.
 ? Eligibility for a regular Grade II Wisconsin Library Certificate.
 ? Additional coursework may be required to obtain this certificate.
 ? A minimum of one year of experience as a public library director, or two to three years in a related library leadership role with increasing responsibilities. We will also consider candidates with equivalent administrative experience in relevant fields.
 ? Experience in budget preparation and knowledge of Wisconsin state statutes related to library operations.
 ? Familiarity with municipal government and a collaborative, proactive approach to working with city officials.
 Compensation and Benefits…
 A is a full-time, salaried position with a starting salary range of $50,000 to $70,000, based on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package that includes:
