Summary of Job
Fall/Winter Seasonal:
Rink Attendant: October through March (variable hours; approximately 2-3 hours/week)
Responsible for handling admission policies, cash handling procedures, sale of products and program activities, and providing general customer service. Expected to run a smooth, well-organized and efficient operation and handle customer complaints in a courteous manner. Fill out required forms, complete all task associated with opening and closing procedures, keep all areas stocked with appropriate inventory/sale items, keep work area clean, assist customers with equipment operation to ensure their satisfaction and safety, make sure equipment is safe and in good working condition, answer phone in a courteous and professional manner, and complete daily assignments as assigned. Ability to handle difficult people/situations in a courteous and professional manner. Rink Attendants assigned to skateguard duties will also be responsible for enforcing rules and policies to ensure safety.
Qualifications
Must be creative, enthusiastic, highly organized, motivated, dependable, patient and able to maintain discipline. Must be capable of following directions and have an ability to learn new skills. Basic computer skills required. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, possess good verbal, written, and listening communication skills, the ability to complete daily paperwork and work well with others from different cultures and backgrounds.
Must be 16 years of age upon employment.
Rink Attendants assigned to skateguard duties must be able to ice skate both forward and backward and stop in both directions.
