Job Description
We are seeking a Vice President, HRBP to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this position will lead a team of HRBP Directors and Senior Directors supporting Corporate, Distribution, Retail, Sales and Asia teams, as well as the Employee Relations function. The role involves working closely with Lakeshore’s key stakeholders to develop and deliver people solutions to meet business objectives, as well as with the HR leadership team to help educate, advise and influence client groups on people strategies involving but not limited to: employee engagement and retention, leadership development and coaching, employee relations, organizational design and effectiveness, and change management.
In addition, the position will foster a greater level of synergy and collaboration across all HRBP and Employee Relations teams via building a centralized HRBP infrastructure that can develop and implement policies, break down silos, address company growth and changes in business needs, and foster a more cohesive and scalable approach to how we operate. Applicants should be able to design, build and steward a comprehensive vision and HR strategy while working collaboratively to ensure goals are met. The ideal candidate also has experience supporting Distribution Centers and/or Retail, in addition to Corporate Office workspaces.
A day on the job looks like this:
- Collaborates with senior leadership throughout all business divisions to develop and implement HR strategies that deliver an integrated employee lifecycle experience aligned with organizational goals and objectives
- Partners with HR leaders to ensure consistency in the development and application of talent programs and policies across all business divisions; coaches and guides respective HRBP and Employee Relations teams accordingly
- Supports business teams in understanding current and future goals and trends that may impact workforce needs and initiatives
- Proactively engages with leaders on people strategy through workforce planning, organizational design and structure
- Analyzes trends and metrics to develop organizational and people strategies to improve the performance and effectiveness of their business groups
- Models and drives continuous learning and maintains a highly skilled and engaged workforce by aligning cross-functional resource plans with business objectives; motivating and empowering teams; building organizational capacity and grooming high potentials for growth opportunities and advancement; staying current with industry trends, benchmarks and best practices; providing guidance and leadership when difficult decisions need to be made; and ensuring performance management guidelines and expectations drive business needs
- Coaches, mentors and interacts with direct reports, HR team and all levels of the organization to foster growth, encourage development and support organizational culture and performance
- Develops teams to be ambassadors of Lakeshore culture at every touchpoint
Qualifications
Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required; advanced degree strongly desired
- 12+ years of progressive HR experience, including supporting global teams
- 8+ years in an HR leadership role with proven success in managing multiple teams to achieve ambitious outcomes
- Proven proficiency in supporting and scaling international teams (specifically Asia)
- Big-picture thinker who anticipates future trends and creates competitive and creative talent strategies that drive results and employee engagement
- Flexibility to seamlessly adapt and pivot in a fast-paced and rapidly changing business environment
- Superb data analysis, reporting and insight-gathering skills to measure success of HR initiatives
- Strength and ability to build trusted partnerships across all levels of an organization
- Excellent judgement, maturity and dependability handling sensitive and/or confidential information
- High emotional intelligence; trustworthy, transparent and self-motivated
- Possesses unquestionable personal integrity, fairness and inclusivity
- Strong managerial courage with the ability to provide direct feedback, coach and develop leaders to become more effective in their roles
- Ability to travel both nationally and internationally up to 25% of the year
