Job Description
The Hybrid Teacher / Instructional Coach is a unique opportunity for master teachers to broaden their leadership impact at the network level. The Hybrid Teacher / Instructional Coach operates on a reduced classroom schedule in order to allocate time and expertise to coaching and developing other teachers in their geographic region (either Blytheville, AR or Helena, AR). The Hybrid Teacher / Instructional Coach remains an important part of the school-based team, providing direct instruction and building relationships with students and families, while also receiving mentorship from KIPP Delta’s Managing Director of Academics to develop their coaching and leadership toolkit.
With a deep understanding of high-quality instruction both in theory and practice, the Hybrid Teacher / Instructional Coach has demonstrated experience achieving top-tier student outcomes as a classroom teacher and is interested in leading adults to achieve ambitious goals. The Hybrid Teacher / Instructional Coach provides Tier I coaching for a caseload of teachers across K-8 content. They work closely with the Managing Director of Academics to implement data-driven coaching strategy, then collect and analyze student data to ensure their coaching measurably improves student academic performance.
The Hybrid Teacher / Instructional Coach will focus on:
Master Teacher (60%)
Execute the roles and responsibilities of a classroom teacher on a reduced classroom schedule (approximately 60% of the traditional teaching and planning load)
Teacher Coaching & Instructional Support (30%)
Execute on-the-ground teacher coaching targeted at helping teachers get better, faster as measured by student performance outcomes on MAP, ATLAS, and internal assessments
Work closely with School Leaders to plan and execute data-driven coaching debriefs; hold teachers and School Leaders accountable to feedback implementation on set cadences
Support the implementation of high-quality instructional materials and curriculum in alignment with One KIPP
Plan and deliver Professional Learning Community content and content-specific professional development for teachers and leaders as part of a larger professional development strategy
Regional Coaching Strategy, Systems & Data Analysis (10%)
Identify key levers and metrics for student achievement; backwards plan coaching inputs to intentionally drive student outcomes
Analyze student performance data to identify and address trends by classroom, school, and student subgroups; develop data-driven coaching strategy to address specific gaps and drive equitable outcomes for all students
Implement network-level coaching infrastructure and systems for collecting, tracking, and analyzing coaching data including network-level observation/debrief systems, feedback implementation tools/systems, and systems for correlating coaching inputs with student performance over time.
Work closely with the Managing Director of Academics to develop coaching and professional development toolkits.
Qualifications
3+ years of as a high-performing teacher with demonstrated experience driving measurable student outcomes
Desire to grow as a leader and broaden your impact within KIPP Delta
Deep experience in and knowledge of K-12 academic content area(s), curricula (Eureka Squared, CKLA, Amplify Science, Lexia Core 5, Lexia Power UP, 95 Percent), assessment platforms/tools (i-Ready, NWEA, Illuminate, Edulastic), data-driven instructional practices, and teacher development.
Demonstrated experience leading adults to achieve measurable results through formal or informal leadership roles (required); experience coaching and developing teachers to drive student outcomes (preferred)
Experience building structures and facilitating collaboration/learning amongst adults
Highly organized with a propensity for developing clear systems, structures, and routines
Strong orientation to data and data analysis skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and disaggregate data, identify trends, and use data to drive decision making

Salary
This is a stipend position. The Hybrid Teacher / Instructional Coach earns a full-time teacher salary per KIPP Delta’s salary scale plus an additional stipend of ($5,000).
