Here’s what you need to know:       
Our middle school is seeking awe-inspiring paraprofessionals to guide our students as they climb the mountain to college and beyond. Our paraprofessionals are dynamic leaders both in and outside of their classroom. They love students, working with families and the community they serve. 

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Joining our middle school as a paraprofessional comes with a lot of growth opportunities, but with great power comes great responsibility. Here are a few for this position:

  • Provide small group or 1:1 instructional assistance in the form of remediation and repeated practice.
  • Assist in classroom preparations and strategies for reinforcing instructional materials and skills according to individual student needs.
  • Implement and track progress of behavior intervention plans (BIP) with fidelity.
  • Conduct attendance maintain daily student progress records, and program tracking.
  • Transition students to and from all related service sessions (speech/language, occupational therapy, physical therapy, group/individual counseling, academic small groups)
  • Assist students with physical or mental disabilities with activities of daily living for the purpose of maximizing their ability to participate in school or learning activities.
  • Work with teachers to implement an integrated curriculum and student-centered environment
  • Participate in the development and execution of individual, classroom-wide and/or school-wide culture supports for students in accordance with school values.
  • Follow all applicable safety rules, procedures and regulations governing the proper manner of assistance for all students, including those with disabilities or other special needs.

Qualifications

Must Haves   

  • Have a minimum of 48 semester hours from an accredited institution 
  • ABS training
  • IEP knowledge
  • Hold high expectations for each student 
  • Exhibit positive rapport with students 
  • A desire to have fun everyday
