As an Intern in our Building Consulting Group, you will be working with experts that will provide you with invaluable skills to set you up for a successful career.

This position will require commuting to the Downers Grove, IL and Chicago, IL offices.

Some of the responsibilities you will partake in:

• Gain experience working directly with clients and project representatives (adjusters, brokers, insureds, etc.).
• During necessary site visits you will obtain related project documents including photos and notes.
• Assist with field inspections and necessary site visits to evaluate the scope of work/damage.
• Understand the sequence and duration of construction activities and assist with scheduling.
• Assist in estimates of medium to large commercial and residential projects using Xactimate.

These are some of the basic requirements for this role:

• Current college studentpursuing an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in both your major and overall.
• Proficient in general computer skills as well as Microsoft office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Reliable transportation to the Downers Grove, IL and Chicago, IL offices and any regional travel that may be necessary.
• General construction experience is a major plus!
• We are looking for someone who works well in a team environment and is self-motivated.
