Description

General Summary

Follows a number of specific procedures in completing several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Codes and files documents in an extensive alphabetical file
  • Simple posting to individual accounts
  • Opening mail, running mail through metering machines, and calculating and posting charges to departmental accounts
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Ability to follow directions

Working Conditions

  • Work environment is a typical office setting.
  • Physical demands include intermittent sitting, standing, and walking, and occasional bending reaching and lifting.
  • Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. but generally not to the point of being disagreeable.
