General Summary
Follows a number of specific procedures in completing several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Codes and files documents in an extensive alphabetical file
- Simple posting to individual accounts
- Opening mail, running mail through metering machines, and calculating and posting charges to departmental accounts
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Effective organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions
Working Conditions
- Work environment is a typical office setting.
- Physical demands include intermittent sitting, standing, and walking, and occasional bending reaching and lifting.
- Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. but generally not to the point of being disagreeable.
