General Summary

Heavy Truck Driver is needed for China Lake Support Project.

Essential Duties

  • Operate a heavy-duty truck to transport materials, merchandise or equipment.
  • Plan and perform the loading and unloading of transport equipment.
  • Make minor mechanical repairs and keep trucks in good working order.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain valid Class A, California Driver's License with N and X endorsements – current DMV printout required.
  • Six months verifiable experience driving heavy trucks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment and other Special Information

  • Steel toed safety shoes required.
  • Must have the physical strength to lift 75 pounds, tie down loads with rope or binders, hook-up 5th wheel trailers, etc.
  • Must provide current DMV printout.
  • Must be able to obtain DOD security clearance.
  • Will be required to join Union within 90 days of non-temporary employment or transfer.
  • Employer will enroll employee in DMV Pull Notice program.
