The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades is looking for qualified swim instructors to join our team! The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Teach private lessons and group classes as per the American Red Cross guidelines to develop proper swimming techniques and skills
- Be a team player who is consistent and reliable
- Be enthusiastic and motivate students
- Maintain records as required (attendance, progress, etc.)
- Follow all JCC policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency procedures
- Confirm schedules and communicate client's progress
- Part-time, hourly $36-$50
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Strong swimming abilities
- Valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification, with Lifeguarding preferred
- Swim instructors must have experience, WSI preferred
- Experience teaching children and adults, Adaptive swim lesson experience preferred
