Position Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Boxing Instructor to lead a twice-weekly class focused on boxing technique, cardio conditioning, and overall fitness. The ideal candidate has experience in boxing or kickboxing instruction, a strong ability to motivate participants, and a commitment to safety and proper form.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a 45-minute boxing class every Monday and Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM
- Create fun, challenging, and safe class routines suitable for a range of fitness levels
- Demonstrate proper technique for punches, footwork, and combinations
- Provide modifications and encouragement to participants as needed
- Ensure a positive, inclusive, and respectful class environment
- Arrive early to set up equipment and prepare the space
- Clean up equipment after class and report any maintenance issues
Qualifications:
- Prior experience teaching boxing, kickboxing, or similar fitness classes
- Strong knowledge of boxing technique and training principles
- CPR/AED and Group Fitness Certification (preferred but not required)
- Ability to work independently and lead a group with confidence
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compensation: $50 per hour
