We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Basketball Coach to lead and develop players during our weekly basketball sessions. The coach will be responsible for planning and conducting skill development, team building activities, and scrimmages in a supportive and engaging environment.
This part-time position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in basketball and a desire to mentor athletes of varying skill levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead basketball practice sessions focused on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching to individuals and groups
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive playing environment
- Monitor player progress and adapt drills to suit different skill levels
- Set up and maintain equipment before and after each session
- Maintain professional conduct and represent the organization positively
Requirements:
- Previous experience playing or coaching basketball (youth or adult levels)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire players
- Punctual and reliable with a commitment to Sunday sessions
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred, not required)
Additional Details:
- Time Commitment: 3 hours per week (every Sunday from 12pm to 3pm)
Hourly Rate: $30/hour
