POSITION SUMMARY:

This position, under limited supervision, performs a variety of administrative functions, including analyzing and coordinating office services such as personnel, inventory control, fiscal affairs, equipment utilization, records control and daily supervision of office staff.  This position is responsible for the administrative support of multiple programs that are essential to the efficient function of the area to include support of Area Supervisor, Field Foremen and Lead Techs office out of Odessa, Texas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  may include any or all of the following.  

  • Review of purchases before approval and monitor warehouse/service vehicle inventories.
  • Assist Field Foremen/Lead Techs with investigating, documenting and resolving misapplications of equipment.
  • Supervise office staff to include day to day planning, assigning and directing work, and providing guidance.
  • Review and update processes and procedures, and provide training to staff to ensure tasks flow timely.
  • Communicate regularly with Area Supervisor on inventory levels, revenue and expenses.
  • Prepare, process and track AFE Projects.
  • Work with District Administrator on month-end reports, account reconciliation, journal entries and fleet data for the area.
  • Provide support to Area Supervisor with daily operation of projects to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provide Area Supervisor support for planning yearly budget.
  • Update and maintain area reports of unit locations, GPS and oil usage.
  • Support and maintain off site inventory (warehouse/storage).
  • Monitor and maintain Vehicle Fleet Management, providing detailed analysis to District Administrator.

  • Proven ability to write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar; present numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in the work environment; manage competing demands; change approach or method to best fit the situation; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Proven hands-on leadership experience, providing a highly motivated and passionate work/leadership style, with team building experience; able to motivate and empower others and identify the best people for the job.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Education & Experience:

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 5+ years of related experience with two or more years in a Lead/Supervisory role; or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

  • Associate’s Degree or the equivalent level of college credits towards a Bachelor’s Degree or extensive vocational training, preferred.

Computer skills:

  • Adequate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Applications.
