The Director of Technology (DOT) provides leadership and vision for the school’s information technology both from an instructional and administrative perspective. The director is responsible for aligning technologies to the needs of the school and personnel to increase efficiency and workflow while protecting users and data from threats. The DOT is seen as an ambassador of the technology program and manages vendor and school relationships for the overall branding and mission of the school. As a member of the VMA community, the individual supports the mission and core values of Villa Maria Academy.

Responsibilities and duties:
Lead the school community in the development and implementation of a comprehensive technology program that furthers the mission of Villa Maria Academy. Model and lead the school’s informational technology staff in providing a service-oriented, collaborative, and efficient technology support environment.
Manage all information technology resources, including personnel, budgets, network infrastructure, web presence, academic and administrative systems, and phone/cell phone services.
Remain current on technological advancements, emerging standards and regulations and industry trends, especially as applied to education and schools, in order that all Villa Maria educators and students have access to tools for 21st century learning.
