The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Neuropathology. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Pathology certification is required in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. American Board of Pathology certification or eligibility in Neuropathology is required. Eligibility for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, fellows, and post-doctoral students.

Clinical responsibilities may include participation in the clinical neuropathology service and on call rotation.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include development of an independent or highly collaborative research program. Faculty on the CE track at the Perelman School of Medicine are expected to develop and sustain a record of academic productivity, which includes involvement in collaborative and/or independent research efforts leading to peer-reviewed published works. Faculty on this track are also expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and clinical care.
