The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track to serve as Medical Director of Maternal Fetal Medicine at our Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Location. Expertise is required in the specific area of Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM). Candidates should be proficient in obstetrical ultrasound. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates must be board certified or active candidates for certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and subspecialty trained and board certified or active candidates for certification in maternal fetal medicine.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and supervising medical students, Ob/Gyn residents, and MFM fellows, and participation in formal curriculum.

Clinical responsibilities may include out-patient consultations for high-risk obstetrical, maternal and fetal conditions, obstetrical ultrasound, antenatal testing, prenatal genetic diagnosis, as well as in-patient consultation and obstetrical care at Pennsylvania Hospital and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the MFM satellite practices.

This role will provide critical leadership in the outpatient practice of MFM at HUP practice in the areas of quality, patient safety, operations, and finance. Candidates with expertise at managing clinical operations in an MFM practice will receive special consideration for a leadership position within the division.
