The goal for the Merchandiser is to prepare and reconfigure merchandise displays in stores so that it is both available for customers to purchase and for the Route Salespeople to support. The individual in this position will be responsible for interpreting planograms, arranging and rearranging merchandise displays in accordance with established planograms and providing support to the Route Salespeople. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all of the duties successfully, to include: 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 Provide information on:

  • Read and implement planograms
  • Set-up displays in accordance with planograms for seasonal and promotional product
  • Sign displays
  • Ensure proper pricing of product
  • Load product on display
  • Setup and re configure in-line sections as directed utilizing established planogram
  • Provide merchandising support, including pack-out and maintenance of in-line departments, set-up of promotional and sales displays, and introduction and cut-in of new items.
  • Assure customer satisfaction with Imperial
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications

Education 

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer skills – requiring able to use a log in and password and follow simple instructions.

 Experience 

  • Previous supermarket and/or retail route sales and/or service experience a plus.
  • Telxon/MSI experience helpful.
  • Knowledge of product and/or experience with ordering and merchandising general merchandise preferred.

 Language Skills 

  • Ability to read and write short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. 

Mathematical Skills 

  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
