Our Global Architecture & Urbanism Division combines the expertise of IBI’s Buildings and Placemaking practice, our Places’ capabilities, and CRTKL’s multi-sector design leadership to offer a diverse range of solutions focusing on human-centric design, sustainability, and technology. 

Arcadis is seeking eeks a Senior Project Architect with comprehensive project delivery experience to join its Healthcare Practice Group located in Los Angeles.

Role Responsibilities:

Arcadis is looking for an individual who is passionate about whole-building design, has a keen interest in project delivery and in driving advancement of technical delivery within the practice and on projects, and seeks a role that allows ample opportunity to mentor and lead, while focusing on the technical development of mid-scale to large-scale Healthcare projects. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects, strong verbal and written communication skills, effective problem solving and interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all clients and employees.

You will work on:

  • Plans, coordinates and manages the project delivery process for mid-to-large scale domestic and international projects
  • Collaborates with other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation are in accordance with project expectations
  • Leads an architectural project delivery team/s
  • Participates in building and site design activities, including analysis, planning, design, and technical development
  • Manages key clients and takes an active role in developing and maintaining key client relationships
  • Manages construction document development including detailing, quality control, and overseeing drawing support staff
  • Leads management and development of project specifications and/or coordination and management of specification writer
  • Produces construction documents
  • Manages subconsultants through the project delivery phases and coordinated the work thereof
  • Evaluates code compliance
  • Facilitates project scheduling and staffing
  • Attends coordination and construction meetings and prepares field reports
  • Facilitates construction observation, answers RFI's and prepares change bulletins
  • Directs issue resolution and enhances project quality in reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Contributes to business development by establishing confidence with clients
  • Participates in collaborative discussions with other local leaders specific to team health/dynamics, staffing, opportunities for growth, target clients, and overall strategic pursuits
  • Assists with the development and implementation of technical delivery standards, practices and policies  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture at an accredited university
  • 14+ years of architecture healthcare experience and knowledge of guidelines for the design and construction of healthcare facilities
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent architecture healthcare experience with California’s Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI)
  • Professional registration in the State of California
  • Proficient with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of sustainable principles and LEED accreditation

Additional Information

The salary range for this position is $92,664 - $138,996 year.
